EXTENDED RANGE PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMS
At some point, almost every diver wants to expand their knowledge beyond the limits of recreational diving and experience more challenging dives.
Extended Range has it all!
With professional training materials, comprehensive standards and flexible course combinations, the SSI Extended Range program makes for a unique experience. If you are not an extended range diver and want to get started, we also have combined diver and instructor programmes. Just ask us how to sign up. We also have an equivalence diagram for crossover.
Send us an email with your details and previous certifications and we will provide you with the right programme!
Let’s start today!

EXTENDED RANGE NITROX INSTRUCTOR
The objective of this programme is to provide candidates with the necessary training to independently plan and conduct dives with limited decompression to a maximum depth of 40m using gas mixtures up to 50% oxygen content with an equivalently qualified dive buddy.
Requirements:
– Extended Range Nitrox Diving Certification
– Deep Diving Instructor
– Diver Stress & Rescue Instructor
– Enriched Air Nitrox Instructor.
Minimum logged dives:
20 dives deeper than 30m.

EXTENDED RANGE (TRIMIX) INSTRUCTOR
The aim of this programme is to provide candidates with the necessary training to dive using Nitrox mixtures up to 100%, to a depth of 45m. The programme can be done with a standard Total Diving System, a large scuba tank with an H or Y valve or even a complete Twinset.
Requirements:
– Extended Range Certification
– Deep Diving Instructor
– Diver Stress & Rescue Instructor
– Enriched Air Nitrox Instructor.
Minimum logged dives:
20 dives deeper than 30m.
Duration: 4 days

TECHNICAL EXTENDED RANGE INSTRUCTOR
The aim of this programme is to provide candidates with the necessary training to independently plan and conduct decompression dives with two gas switches and multiple stops to a depth of 50m (60m if using Trimix).
Requirements:
– Technical Extended Range Certification
– Deep Diving Instructor
– Diver Stress & Rescue Instructor
– Enriched Air Nitrox Instructor
– Extended Range Instructor
